Dutch Flat Cemetery

Established in 1851, Dutch Flat's Cemetery contains six sections: Public, Chinese, Masons, Odd Fellows, Red Men and Knights of Pythias. Today, the Public section is maintained by Placer County. The Chinese section is visited annually for Ching Ming and Moon Festivals and maintained by the Golden Drift Historical Society and Chinatown History and Culture Association. The Masonic and Odd Fellows sections are in use as active burial sites for local residents and are maintained by the fraternal orders, community and Cal Fire, who also maintain the Red Men and Knights of Pythias burial sites.

The California Cemetery and Funeral Act regulates the Dutch Flat Cemetery. Damaging, destroying or removing items from a cemetery is a serious criminal offense, often charged as a felony. Violations are not tolerated. Respect this sacred ground and its contents.
